KnitM8

Gauge that actually accounts for rows, not just stitches — so sleeve increases, armhole shaping and yoke depth come out where the pattern meant them to.

Its free calculators are built and proving themselves against the same discipline as QuiltM8’s.

SoapM8

In development

Three well-known soap calculators give three different answers for the same recipe, and none says why. This one shows the convention, the working, and rounds lye the safe way.

Its free calculators are built, with the lye conventions stated rather than assumed.

StitchM8

In development

How big a chart comes out on any count of fabric, which fabric to choose, and how many skeins to buy.

4 calculators built and checked

The name was checked against five trademark registers before it was printed here.

And one more at the bench — named here the day its trademark checks clear. In this family the checks come before the print.

Why the numbers are right

Every formula is worked out twice — once in the app, and once again from scratch by someone checking it — and thousands of worked examples are re-run before any release goes out. Where an answer depends on something we cannot know, like your shop’s prices, the app says so instead of guessing.

Who makes this

CraftM8 is built in Vienna. The promise is a short one: the numbers will be right, you will always be able to check them, and nobody will ever make you sign in to cut fabric. hello@craftm8.app is read by a person, and the imprint says who.
