Accessibility

What is built in

• Text is sized and coloured to stay readable in both light and dark, and the colours are re-checked every time the site is built.
• Everything works from the keyboard, with a focus ring you can actually see.
• Nothing flashes, nothing loops, and nothing moves at all if your system asks for reduced motion.
• Nothing times out. No answer disappears because you took a moment.
• The calculators announce their results and their errors, so a screen reader tells you what changed and which field it disagreed with.
• The whole site works without JavaScript, apart from live recalculation — every calculator page carries a full worked answer that needs no script at all.
• The apps go further, because they are used standing up with a rotary cutter in the other hand: large touch targets, and full support for the biggest system text size.

What is not done yet

• The cutting diagrams are described in words rather than being explorable piece by piece.
• The pages are in seven languages, but the calculators inside them still speak English: those words come from the engine, and translating them is a separate job. No translation has been read by a quilter who speaks the language yet.
